This month, I’m giving away the complete digital set of 24 NOOMA films, which includes MP4 video files for the entire series (plus the 24 reflection guides which come free with each short film!). I’ve used NOOMA with great success in the past — “Lump” for the annual parent meeting about their 2nd-graders’ first Reconciliation, “Rhythm” for the first Eucharist parent meeting, and recently created a Lenten study using NOOMA films related to the Sunday readings for Cycle A . This series is flexible enough that I’ve seen it used in a graduate-level course on pastoral care, campus ministry, RCIA, Confirmation preparation — the possibilities are really endless.
Why do I love this series so much? Because it gets to the heart of what we, as catechists and ministry leaders are trying to do — which is to communicate the message of God’s great love for us in a way that captures our imaginations and challenges us to engage in our relationships with God and others in real and concrete ways.
